About us
A Community That Understands
Welcome to Survive Child Abuse — a safe harbour in what can often feel like a stormy sea. We are more than a website. We are a community of survivors who understand the journey you are on because we have walked this path ourselves.
We know that healing from childhood trauma is not a destination. It is an ongoing journey of growth, self-discovery, and reclaiming your power. Our platform was built from a simple belief: survivors deserve to have their voices heard, their experiences validated, and their healing supported by people who truly understand.
Our mission
- Validate your experiences by showing you that you are not alone
- Provide practical guidance for managing trauma symptoms and building resilience
- Offer hope through stories of recovery and lived wisdom
- Create connection within a community that truly understands
- Break the silence that so often surrounds childhood abuse
Our vision
A world where every adult survivor of childhood abuse has access to compassionate support from people who have been there — and knows they are not alone.
What makes us different
Support You Won’t Find Anywhere Else
In all our research and reading online — tens of thousands of pages — we have not found another website compiled and written by survivors, for survivors. This is what makes Survive Child Abuse unique.
Survivor-Led, Always
Every article, guide, prompt and piece of advice comes from someone who has lived this experience. We are not professionals writing about trauma from a distance. We are survivors writing from the inside.
Completely Free
There are no subscription fees, no premium tiers and no affiliate links. We do not exist to generate revenue. We exist to support survivors. All our content will remain free.
Your Journey, Your Pace
We do not tell you how to heal. Every survivor’s path is unique. We offer diverse perspectives, multiple strategies, and various pathways — so you can find what works for you, in the time that is right for you.
